During the Covid-19 pandemic and fall/winter seasons, we anticipate there will be notifications about possible Covid-19 exposures in our schools. The Fraser Health Authority and Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows School District 42 work closely together to ensure these notifications are shared promptly with parents, host parents, and school staff.
There are two types of notifications (samples of both are attached to this email):
- Early Notification Letter – This letter informs you that a person who has tested positive for Covid-19 was in the school on a specific day/s. It does not mean that student was exposed.
- Self-Monitoring Letter – This letter informs you of a possible exposure on specific dates in specific classes. The students in these classes can still attend school but must self-monitor their health with the help of their homestay family.
The Daily Health Assessment checklist can be found here at the end of our Superintendent’s letter here and is available is multiple languages.
