We have much to celebrate given the rough start to the 2020-2021 school year. We have worked through immigration issues, Covid testing, and isolation requirements. While Covid-19 is not gone, students and parents seem willing to start to live with it, and thankfully, are showing interest in studying abroad.
Students should plan to return home between June 25th and June 30th. We do not permit students to stay longer unless they are enrolled in SD42 Summer Learning (courses for credit-extra fees apply). Every year we learn of students who want to stay an extra week or 2. Please note that our legal custodianship/medical insurance and homestay for students ends June 30th unless they continue to study in SD42. Our host families like to take a break before the new students arrive for September.
Covid-19 testing is mandatory for almost all of our students flying home this summer. If students are still required to have a Covid-19 test 72 hours prior to boarding their flight home, we will ensure that students and host families have information about the process. They will be able to book this test online and the cost is between $200 and $250 Cdn.
Quarter 3 Report Cards
Final report cards for Quarter 3 will be issued next week. We will share by school as they become available.

We have had a few problems with wire transfers coming through. Our bank has asked that “Payable To” reads “The Board of Education of School District No. 42 (Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows).”
