Applications/Admissions 2022-2023

We continue to receive applications for open programs for January 2022 (Winter) and May 2022 (Spring) with program availability updated daily here.

September 2022 (Fall) applications will open on December 13^th and processing timelines can be viewed under the tab ‘Application Cycle 2022-2023’ along with the future intakes of January and May 2023: https://www.georgebrown.ca/international/future-students/how-to-apply

Duolingo test results will continue to be accepted for September 2022, January 2023 and May 2023, with a 2-year validity and minimum scores posted on our English proficiency and EAP placement tables here: https://www.georgebrown.ca/international/future-students/admission-requirements#accordion-96896-english-language-proficiency

*Please ensure applicants always send their results via the Duolingo testing portal to ‘George Brown College’ for verification and to avoid delays in the review of the application.

Pathway language certificates for programs completed online from GBC pathway partners will continue to be accepted for September 2022 only, until further confirmed. Pathway partner schools and certificate requirements are found here.

Program Delivery Format

We are happy to share that we have an even greater number of programs that will be hybrid for January 2022, along with a number of programs returning to full in-person learning. Please note ‘semester 1’ refers to students entering January 2022 as their first semester at GBC: https://www.georgebrown.ca/programs/winter-2022-delivery

Future program delivery models will be announced 3-4 months before the start of the semester to accommodate changes in local health and safety regulations.

Travelling to Canada & IRCC Update

Since there has not yet been an extension to the current flexible IRCC policy, time spent studying outside of Canada after December 31, 2021 (Winter 2022 semester), will be deducted from the length of the post-graduation work permit. In addition, if less than 8 months of studies is completed within Canada, the student may not be eligible for the PGWP. Further updates will be shared once announced.
