Thông tin cập nhật mới nhất cho học kỳ tháng 9/2021 từ SFU & FIC

Dear Students,

As you all know, we’ve been working hard over the past few months to prepare to offer the option of in person classes for Fall 2021. We are excited to welcome students to the campus and begin the transition away from remote delivery. You can expect continued communication over the summer as the planning of supports and services for the fall semester continues.

Our recommendation is that if you have a valid study permit, visa and are able to travel, you should begin planning to travel to Canada in time for the start of the Fall semester, which is Tuesday, September 7th (Orientation) and Wednesday, September 8th (start of class) for in-person studies.

Here are some key notes:

Bạn có biết? CEI là trung tâm tư vấn du học Canada uy tín và miễn phí từ 2009, hàng ngàn học sinh Canada đã được CEI tư vấn thành công. Xem thêm: Tại sao bạn nên chọn tư vấn du học Canada với CEI?
  • If you are planning to take lab science courses such as BISC100/101/102, CHEM121/122+126 and PHYS140/141+1141, you should try to be available in-person for Fall 2021.
  • While we will have remote study options, the significant majority of our classes will be offered in-person
  • Specific details regarding which course/course sections to be offered remotely or in-person will be released in the beginning of August, prior to student enrolment

As always, please know that our key priority will continue to be your safety and the safety of our entire FIC and SFU community. We will continue to follow public health guidelines and adhere to safety precautions recommended by the BC Centre for Disease Control, WorkSafeBC, the provincial health officer, and BC’s Restart plan.

For the Fall we will:

  • Make safety standards consistent across FIC;
  • Work with SFU & TransLink to ensure safe transit service to campuses;
  • Ensure enhanced cleaning practices remain in place;
  • Support safe access to campus amenities including food services, the Bookstore and Spirit Shop, computer labs
  • Offer remote services and in person student services, programs, and activities that will contribute to a vibrant college experience for our all students.

A reminder that as international students, you are also eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine if you are in BC and we encourage you to get vaccinated if you are able to do so.
