UFV is pausing all classes and educational opportunities for one week, and transitioning to remote/online learning until Jan 23. Classes that were scheduled to begin January 4 will now begin January 10. 

Online learning will start on Mon, January 10 and continue through Sun, Jan 23. This transition has also been recommended by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training, and supported by B.C.’s Public Health Officer.

Some courses, including those with clinical or other experiential components, will continue in-person with appropriate safety protocols in place on Jan 10. Faculties and academic units will provide further details on specific programs and courses before their start date. Events on campus will be postponed until Jan 24 or canceled. Students with questions regarding their classes are encouraged to contact their instructors.  

Campuses will remain open, including student housing, student services, and all libraries. Libraries will be running with capacity limits in place.

Students will be able to access campus services as of January 4.

Our campuses are open Tuesday, January 4. However, as mentioned above, classes will be conducted virtually from January 10th.

UFV Closure 

• UFV will be closed for the holiday season from December 24, 2021, at Noon (PT) to January 4, 2022. No one will be available on campus until we re-open for regular hours of operation on January 4, 2022.
