This is an important message for secondary students (grades 9 to 12) enrolled full-time in online learning in the PDSB Online School. Please disregard if you are enrolled in the adaptive learning model.
Welcome back to the start of the 2020-21 school year. During this time of adjustment, we want to be sure that you continue to engage in learning experiences that allow you to gain skills, learn, explore and innovate. Our goal is for you to be successful and we are working to create the best distance learning experience possible.
From Sept. 15 to 21, you are required to complete one of the following Learning Inquiry Projects linked below in preparation for your first day of distance learning on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The inquiry projects will be used as a Pre-Instruction Assessment Tool to help teachers gauge the starting skills and abilities of students in the first quadmester – please do the best you can to showcase your skills and abilities to your teachers and use these inquiries as a way to hone your learning skills.
To access the inquiries please go to https://sites.google.com/pdsb.net/pdsb-online-school/home and select Secondary Students. Then select the project link that corresponds with your grade and quadmester 1 courses as outlined below:
