The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how all of us live, learn, and work, as we follow the guidance of our public health authorities to keep our communities safe.
We wanted to share that George Brown College will deliver most programs online for the Winter 2021 Semester (January 11, 2021 – April 23, 2021)
This means that the majority of students will continue to learn online.
In select programs where students need to complete hands-on clinical or lab work, we’re offering a hybrid model –where most of the program is delivered online with limited aspects of the course delivered on-campus. This hybrid model will be the exception in an effort to restrict the number of employees and students on campus at any given time and protect the health and safety of our community.

We understand that many students will want to know which of their programs and courses will be online or in-person, so we are working on publishing a detailed list on georgebrown.ca in the coming weeks and communications will be sent to students regarding program delivery mode for Winter 2021.
Please visit the COVID-19 webpage which will be updated over the upcoming few weeks for Winter 2021 announcements. There is a section for current students and applicants/prospective students where you will find much more specific information including technical requirements for online learning; immigration updates regarding study permits and post-graduation work permits; health insurance; program tuition fees; Work Integrated Learning; and program deferrals.
If you haven’t already, check out George Brown’s Online Learning site, which provides students with information on how to get the most out of remote learning at George Brown, including how to effectively communicate and collaborate virtually and how to achieve personal and academic goals.
