New Update! – We would like to introduce our new way of looking at equivalencies for English Language Arts equivalency!
For students who have taken a native language course in their home country, NorQuest College now accepts native language, Language Arts courses as equivalent to English 30-2 for admission to our post-secondary programs. For more information, see our Equivalencies page.
Equivalencies will be evaluated by Admissions after the student has applied to the program and submitted transcripts.

Here are few more updates:
- We have revamped the Admissions information on the website in an effort to describe things in a step-by-step manner that will make better sense to applicants, which also reduces duplicating information between pages
- We will no longer be accepting the CELPIP test for post-secondary programs, as this test is not considered a ‘high stakes’ ELP test in the industry.
- We will, however, be accepting two new ELP tests for certain programs:
- Cambridge English Language Assessment
- PTE Academic
- We will also continue accepting the Duolingo test for the 2021-22 academic year. The ELP Chart for 2021-22 is updated with the new tests on it.
