Important reminders about extra fees for students arriving August 2021

We are looking forward to the arrival of our students in August for September 2021! Please see below important information regarding arrival, COVID-19 vaccinations and any extra fees to cover quarantine and extra days in homestay.

When a student is fully vaccinated, please upload the documentation regarding their completed COVID-19 vaccination (type and dates issued) – following the How to Share a Document (see attached).

Extra fees upon arrival:

• • Homestay fees: $31.45/day for all days prior to August 28, 2021.
  • Homestay Quarantine fee: $300
  • Fees will be invoiced once the flight itinerary is received.
  • Other: If upon arrival, Canadian Border Services Agency officers determine that a student has not met travel requirements and is required to quarantine for 14 days, the family will be responsible for any additional costs including those from a possible hotel quarantine.

If  the student is fully vaccinated for 14 days or longer with one of the Canadian approved vaccines (Pfizer-Biotech, Moderna, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) or AstraZeneca):

    • Please book flights for August 28-29, 2021.
    • For arrival on August 28^th or later and fully vaccinated with 1 of the 4 approved vaccines: no additional fees.
    • For arrival on August 28^th or later and vaccinated with a non-approved vaccine: $300 Quarantine fee, no extra days for homestay.
    • For arrivals prior to August 28,  2021: $31.45/day will be charged (and $300 Quarantine fee if vaccinated with non-approved vaccine and required to quarantine).

If the student is not fully vaccinated and will need to do the 14-day quarantine upon arrival:

      • Extra fees: Quarantine fee + extra days in homestay for all days prior to August 28^th.
