Today, as previously announced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), we expect IRCC to publish the designated learning institutions that have an approved COVID-19 Readiness Plan in place over the next several weeks.  

Amended travel restrictions are now in effect only allowing international students to enter Canada if their designated learning institution (DLI) has an approved COVID-19 Readiness Plan in place.

Though Sault College may not be listed initially, we have developed a comprehensive COVID-19 Readiness Plan and are currently waiting for our Provincial and Federal Governments to approve it. We expect that the associated list will be updated on an ongoing basis and that Sault College will be added shortly. Visa and study permit processing at IRCC offices around the world will be prioritized for students with LOA’s at institutions with an approved Readiness Plan.
