Toronto District School Board: Lưu ý quan trọng dành cho Du học sinh

We appreciate that you may have questions about the 2020-2021 school year, in particular the Fall semester. Toronto District School Board staff are working diligently to ensure programs continue to meet our high standards of academic rigour and learner experience.  As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, TDSB takes guidance from the Ontario Ministry of Education and Toronto Public Health regarding measures that are needed for school opening and programming.

We value our TDSB International students. To assist with your 2020-2021 school year planning below are four options:

–          Option 1: Secondary students can choose to take TDSB online courses while staying in home country. Students can enroll in 2 credit courses, which are 9 weeks in duration. When travel restrictions are lifted, students can travel to Toronto to join their classmates. Details on the available online courses will be posted on our website at a later time: www.StudyToronto.ca

Students who select Option 1 are required to participate in the Online, Integrated Orientation and Summer School Program from August 4 to 28.

Please note online courses are NOT available for elementary students.

–          Option 2: When travel restrictions are lifted, students report to TDSB as originally planned. Programming may be offered as face-to-face classes, or a combination of face-to-face and online, or fully online. Details will be released by the TDSB at a later time. For details on arrival and summer school, please follow this link: https://www.tdsb.on.ca/About-Us/International-Programs/International-Students/Arrival-Summer-School

–           Option 3: Students can defer registration to February 2021 or September 2021 – without any financial penalties. Deferral requests should be sent to our office by August 31, 2020. Download Deferral Form at: https://www.tdsb.on.ca/About-Us/International-Programs/International-Students/Forms and email to [email protected]

–          Option 4: Students may apply for a full tuition fee refund up to August 31, 2020. There shall be no financial penalties on the tuition paid (application fee will not be refunded). Refund Request Form at: https://www.tdsb.on.ca/About-Us/International-Programs/International-Students/Forms and email to [email protected]

Note: Students who participated in our Online Integrated Orientation and Summer School Program and wish to apply for refund will be considered on a case by case basis, either for study permit rejection (date) or COVID-19 safety concerns. An administration fee of $500 shall be deducted.

We hope the above options will help families make plans. Please do not hesitate to contact us at: [email protected]
